Why is my Facebook Ads interface so slow?

Of course, I'm also concerned with work efficiency and one of the elements that reduce my work performance is the loading speed of the interface of advertising systems like Facebook Ads or Google Ads.

It's unbelievable that on a device like a Macbook Air M1, 16GB RAM, the web interface of an ad system doesn't work smoothly. I have browsed a large number of discussion forums and even users with much more powerful hardware are reporting problems.

On my device, specially when creating ads I have two monitors with FB interface active, I am rapidly losing performance and waiting for the ads interface to load. The Apple M1 processor handles everything with no problem and runs at about 35% utilization with two active windows open with FB Ads interface and Apple Notes running. The problem is in the RAM utilization of the device. More than 13GB of my 16GB RAM was continuously being used up, so the ad editing was no longer smooth.

Unfortunately, as I'm sure you've gathered from my text. Even a better device won't significantly improve the speed.

Here I'll list a few tips that have helped me or users on discussion forums:

1) Clean your browser cache and update it to the latest version.

2) Safari is faster than Chrome, in my case by about 35% in terms of RAM utilization, which proved to be crucial in speed.

3) Minimize the number of extensions loaded in your browser.

4) If you have AdBlock installed, the interface loads slower, you can figure out the reason for yourself. There are supposedly no such problems with the uBlock extension.

5) If the speed drops sharply, you can use the "Reset Ads Manager" menu under the 3 dots in the Facebook Ads interface.

6) If you normally have inactive windows open while working, turn on the memory saving option in your browser settings, specifically the performance section (Google Chrome).

7) Minimize the number of dimension and metric columns and large number of objects (campaigns/sets/ads) loaded. Anyway, even if you are just choosing a suitable device for the work of an ad manager in Facebook Ads and Google Ads, today I would definitely choose at least the aforementioned 16GB of RAM. The M1 processor has proven to be a perfectly adequate piece of hardware that doesn't hold back overall performance in any way.
